10-day fixed-shift cycle

3 on, 2 off. 2 on, 3 off.

This page describes the exact 3-2-2-3 preset used in ShiftFlowr, not the similarly named 14-day Panama or Pitman schedules.

Shift-pattern names are not universal. Compare the actual sequence on your employer's rota. If it reads 2 on, 2 off, 3 on across a fortnight, choose Panama instead.

Before applying the pattern, mark one date you know is the first shift in a three-day work block. Then count forward through both rest blocks and the following two working days. That quick check prevents a correct ten-day cycle from being placed in the wrong phase. If your employer alternates day and night duties as well as work and rest days, record the complete sequence in the custom pattern builder instead of forcing it into this fixed-shift preset. Recheck the preview whenever your employer publishes a revised rota or changes the start time attached to the shift type.

Match the sequence, not just the name

3-2-2-3

Panama / 2-2-3

Pitman / 2-3-2

A separate 14-day work/off cycle with fixed and rotating variants.

3-2-2-3 FAQ

Can I change the shift times?
Yes. The cycle controls dates; your selected shift type controls the start and finish times.
Can I alternate days and nights?
The built-in 10-day version is fixed-shift. Use the custom pattern builder for a mixed day/night sequence.

Confirm the ten days before filling the month.

Set your real anchor date and use the preview to verify the phase.
