Where ShiftFlowr differs

My Shift Planner and Supershift are both established, well-reviewed shift-calendar apps. This table covers only what each app's own Play Store listing states - not a claim about what the apps might also do that isn't advertised.

How this table was built: every "Not listed" cell means the feature does not appear anywhere in that app's current Google Play Store description - not that we tested the app and found it missing. If either app added one of these features after this page was last checked, that's on us to catch and correct.

The alarm difference

An alarm that survives silent mode

Neither My Shift Planner nor Supershift's Play Store listing mentions an alarm or notification feature of any kind - both are calendar and tracking tools. ShiftFlowr's wake-up alarm fires at full volume even if the phone is on silent or Do Not Disturb, with a full-screen alert showing the shift name and start time. A separate leave-home alarm fires before every shift too, timed to your commute.

Not just a reminder

Both alarms are alarm-grade on Android, not a standard notification that's easy to sleep through.

Two alerts, one setting each

Wake-up alarm for getting up, leave-home alarm for getting out the door - both attach automatically to every shift in your pattern.

Terminology and pay

Speaks your region, calculates your real take-home

ShiftFlowr reads your phone's timezone on-device (nothing uploaded) and shows the shift vocabulary your workplace actually uses - Early/Late/Nights in the UK, Swing/Graveyard in the US, Arvo/RDO in Australia, Stat Holiday in Canada. Neither competitor's listing describes this. On pay, both My Shift Planner and Supershift track gross earnings, hours, and overtime well - ShiftFlowr's calculator goes a step further and estimates take-home pay after UK Income Tax and National Insurance, plus night and weekend uplifts.

Where it's even

Rotation support: parity, not an advantage

This isn't a point in ShiftFlowr's favour - it's worth saying plainly. Supershift's own listing explicitly supports 4-on-4-off, DuPont, Pitman, Panama, Continental, 2-2-3, and custom rotations, the same set ShiftFlowr offers, applied up to two years ahead. My Shift Planner covers rotating schedules and on-call patterns too. If pattern coverage is your only requirement, all three apps handle it.
